Amaanah Refugee Services Boys and Girls Soccer

AAYGC helped AMAANAH Refugee Services start a Soccer League Program for boys in the Southwest Houston Area.  It all started with an idea.  Soccer is a universal sport and it is loved by so many.  Why not help start soccer clubs for refugee students?  Funds go to support transportation, snacks and uniform.  This is program is impactful.  We also donated funds to specifically start the first girls' soccer program.  Some of the students, we later learned, will be able to get sports scholarships to go to college because of their participation in this club.  

Since inception, HISD has taken over and now, there are more than ten soccer teams operating after school.  And it all started with an idea and an inspiration!
